# Register with a GP service
You will need to register with a GP service before you can book an appointment to see a doctor or nurse. Only students with a CV1-CV6 postcode can register at the Coventry University GP. If you are outside of this postal code, go to the NHS website to find another local NHS GP service (opens new window). To find out more about the GP service on campus, go to the Medical Centre page.
It is a good idea to register when you arrive, so that you can get an appointment as soon as you need medical advice
Remember, you can only be registered with one medical practice at any one time.
# Register with Coventry University Medical Centre

- Log in to the student portal and complete the Registration form (opens new window).

# Check your emails and activate your online booking account
Once registered, you will be sent an email with your access details to the online booking service. Use this to book appointments with doctors and nurses online.
Please look at your email and activate your online booking account. This is the easiest way to make appointments and order repeat prescriptions.
