# Check your timetable
Make sure you know when and where your classes are by checking your personal timetable online.
# Find your personal timetable online
Log in to the Student Portal and select Timetable (opens new window). You will need to log in using your University username and password before you are directed to your personal timetable.
# Understand your timetable
Each coloured block on your timetable represents a taught session (either in-person or online) that you need to attend. It shows the time and location of the class as well as the module code and lecturer’s name. Use the arrows on the top left-hand side of the page to scroll backwards and forwards to view your timetable for each week of the academic year. To view your timetable by day or month, use the arrows on the top right-hand side of the page.
This is an electronic timetable and may be changed or updated. Make sure that you check it regularly in case there are changes to time or location of any of your classes. Lecturers sometimes announce room changes by email or on Aula as well.
# Ask for your timetable to be changed
If there is an academic reason to change the day or time of a class, you need to discuss this with your lecturer or course director and ask them to contact the timetabling team on your behalf. Requests to change the timetable for personal reasons are not usually approved. These will only be considered in very exceptional circumstances and only if it is possible to do so.
Please remember that any approved changes to your timetable will take up to 48 hours to display on your timetable once changed.
# Fix your timetable
Sometimes incorrect modules may show on your timetable or two modules may appear on your timetable at the same time Once you have enrolled, your timetable can take up to 48 hours to update itself and display your correct sessions and groups. After 48 hours of enrolling if the incorrect module are still showing or sessions are overlapping please email the Timetabling Team.
# Provisional Timetable
If you are currently enrolling and waiting for your personalised timetable, please head to Aula (opens new window) to access provisional timetables for each course so you can keep up to date with teaching.
# What to do whilst your timetable is being fixed
If your timetable is still showing incorrect, duplicate or parallel sessions after 48 hours of enrolling (and you have emailed the timetabling team and are awaiting support), you will need to contact your Course Director or Module Leaders through Aula and they can direct you on which sessions to attend in the meantime.
