# Frederick Lanchester
This modern and striking building was completed in 2001. It was named after the Coventry based designer of the first British petrol-driven car. It houses the main University Library, the Centre for Academic Writing (CAW) and the sigma Mathematics and Statistics Support Centre.
With a number of different study zones across 5 floors, the University Library provides an invaluable central study and resource space for staff and students. It is equipped with over 500 computers, 120 laptops for loan, group and individual study rooms and a wealth of digital and print resources.
